page 1418 – Everyone’s Favorite Characters Are Still Here
First off, obligatory reminder that an April Fools comic went up on Wednesday, so be sure to go check that out if you haven’t already.
Second, confession time: this page wasn’t originally planned to happen until a little while later, and I’d actually already started drawing an entirely different comic for today. But then it hit me that I’d dragged out the whole “building a ship out of food” sequence for longer than planned, and we really needed the establishing/reminder moment right now. So if this looks like it was thrown together in a bit of a hurry, that’s ‘cos it was. Otherwise, I would have taken the time to re-draw the bottom panel when I realized the position of the boys was demanding some REALLY awkward speech bubble placement.
But you know what WASN’T drawn in a hurry? This week’s new TWC Voting Incentive! Yup, I finally did a new one, and in fact I went and got it finished ahead of time! Pity I can’ show that kind of discipline and time management on the ACTUAL comic, huh?
….and then some practical joker contacts the pod over ship to ship comms and plays an audio loop of the sound of running water 🙂
The only person likely to do that right at the moment is Blip.
…yeah, okay, Blip, run away from the Capt’n for a bit and send the boys the sound of running water on loop.
Blip would only be interested in that if it somehow resulted in an explosion.
…which, to be fair, is what most people would prefer to see, too. 😀
