page 1423 – Someone Is Suddenly Less Apprehensive About This
So, this is another one of those cases where I STARTED to go back and re-read the early pages of the comic to verify what exchanges actually occurred when Trigger and Layla actually came aboard… but then realizes it actually doesn’t matter. Layla doesn’t care what anyone really said back then, she just wants to be able to say something that simultaneously praises Marshall for fawning over her and also dunks on Ichabod (and any other authority figure) for something. Whether or not it’s factually accurate is at best a secondary bonus. (Also, I need to be careful about going back to re-read old pages because I VERY often get stuck binge-reading way more than I meant to).
Also, REJOICE! There is indeed a new TWC Voting Incentive up today! …and it’s the only one for this week! Yeah, once again, I’m not gonna scramble to get a second one done this Friday. Sorry, but the end of the month is already looming again, so instead I’m gonna spent the later half of the week scrambling to get a bunch of OTHER things done. SO, new Incentive today, next new incentive next Friday.
If only Marshall had been her assigned Nitpicker instead of Ichabod, Layla would still be head of a Galactic Crime Empire.
(and poor Trigger would still be stuck in that bunker underground with watching sabotage training sims)
Marshall is, for the first time, actually showing about as much attraction to Layla as the other boys did from the get-go. Okay, he was serving her food from a moment’s notice the last day or so, but that could be excused from his positive feelings from the praise & encouragement from page 1335. His blush and ignoring his own safety over her comfort here suggests that the events of pages 1275/1282 to 1335 resulted in him developing a crush on Layla for appreciating his cooking.
To avoid repetitive double posting, I shall employ the *bites tongue* note here in response to both posts 😀
You should really see if you can find a way to have an emoji or image for that. And, no, I don’t accept a “Zips Lips” emoji to be sufficient. And any emoji sticking out their tongue gives the wrong impression, so I’m not certain how it would actually look. You still need it, though.
