page 1424 – Very Expressive Expression
I DID IT AGAIN, FOLKS. This isn’t even remotely the page that was supposed to go up today. That one’s entirely penciled and even partially inked, but then I went and started having ideas and reorganizing what was going to happen when. Suddenly, a page that wasn’t supposed to get done until next week was betting broken up in ti more than one new pages and getting bumped ahead. So ya’ll won’t actually see what I was ORIGINALLY working on last night until, like, a week from now. Plans, what are those?
Fittingly, next week is also when the next TWC Voting Incentive will actually go up, seeing as how I did a late/early one back on Tuesday. BUT GUESS WHAT? There actually is some new Far Out There content hitting the internet this week! At long, LONG last, I’ve actually posted some new stuff over on Patreon! And amazingly, it’s NOT one of the story things I’ve been hacking away at for months now. This one’s a blog post that just gushed out in, like, a day. Work flow is weird that way.

You know the funny thing is, it’s possible Marshall is actually Layla’s age.
That said, Mariska just being a word shy of teasing Marshall for his obvious crush is also hilarious.
I believe Mariska told Layla that Marshall was still “younger than you” regargless of the whole slow aging thing… though she of course didn’t get into any specifics (that we ever got to hear, at least).
In actually, I’ve been writing him with the idea that he’s somewhere between Layla and Trigger, age-wise; probably a bit closer to the former than the latter.
Aside from his chronological age being close to Layla’s, what age does he “look” like he is?
My suspicion on the appearance-based age of current characters:
– Tax, Bridget & Alphonse
– The Super Stupendous Justice Hero’s Club
– Avatar
– Trigger
– May
– Marshall
– Layla
– Tabitha
– The Adults
– Cap’n Crosby
I’d say the SSJB boys look older than Avatar. I’d put them at about 12-ish, and her at about 10-ish.
Only nitpick I’d have is that, yes, the short pants squad are intended to be around the same age as Trigger. I guess we’ve never really seen them standing next to Avatar, though, so there’s probably not any clear visual evidence that they’re supposed to be a little taller than her. (That, and Bridget and Alphonse are meant to look younger than everybody, though I’m sure Tax ACTS more childish than either of them)
