Okay, I’m gonna break away from the “original commentary/historical notes” routine for this page, because there’s not really an “original” one here. This was my first experiment with using PNGs for the animation instead of GIFs, but I found out the hard way that a LOT of social media platforms don’t allow them. Or, more to the point, they automatically render up a new, scaled & compressed version of the file you WANTED to post and the animation gets lost. Heck, even WordPress seems to do that if you don’t go crawling around in the site settings to tell it not to. But yeah, every post on every platform had a slightly different set of comments from me about whether or not that particular site allowed animation at all or required me to post a GIF instead or what. But now that this page is finally at its new home, I can just focus on how The Kid has the most Homestuck powers seen yet in this comic.
The Kid is “leaning” by basically supporting themselves with their right foot on the chair, while their left is on the ground.
It’s just weird that there’s nothing against her back, despite me drawing her like she’s leaning against a wall or the back of the chair or something. I’d miscalculated how I’d have to position the background picture, otherwise I’d have drawn her pose differently.
