page 1465 – Very Greasy Seats
Okay, so in the previous page, I deliberately didn’t draw the interior of the burger ship in great detail, hoping it would communicate the idea that the outside was sort of hazy and translucent (and I deliberately DIDN’T do the whole blurred lines effect, both because I hoped the sketchiness of the inking would give that panel more kinetic energy, and because I’d just used that effect too much recently) It wasn’t until AFTER the page was finished that I realized this meant we never really got a proper establishing shot of the ship’s internal layout. So, yeah, that’s basically why this page exists.
Anyway, getting both of last week’s pages done in one blast, and giving myself a bit more breathing room for the following few days, turned out to be an EXTREMELY good idea, so that’s what I’m doing again this week. In fact, not only did I obviously get this page done pretty darn early (if you’re tuning in at the normal time, this page has actually been up since, like 6pm Monday evening) but I’ve actually ALREADY got page 1466 done! I’m gonna queue it up as soon as I post this one! Yay me!

The steering wheels are a couple of candy bars (still in wrappers) and a couple of packets of chips in what is specifically McDonald’s Cartons. And I’m just having to ask… why Tabitha decided on that. I mean, we can SEE bones in the chairs, was it that there weren’t enough bones for the steering wheels as well?
Clearly, there was a very obvious and practical benefit to using non-bone products while interfacing with the control panel, the kind of technical details that go way over our heads.
Really? Because I thought the most likely explanation was “It means that the driver has something they can eat if they get hungry, without damaging the actual ship”. Because that’s the most reasonable explanation Mad Science will ever provide.
