page 1211 – Dude, you SO don’t wanna know
Remember, the whole reason the boys are out wandering the ship is to try and figure out how to get back to THEIR ship and get away without being stopped again… and I don’t just bring that up as an excuse to slip a link to a previous page in here. I legit had to go back and re-read some earlier pages to make sure I remembered Avi’s stated motivation for dragging the others out into the rest of the ship, and if even I’M a bit fuzzy on the details, then it’s pretty safe to assume you normal people would be needing even more of a refresher.
…or maybe it’s just me being scatterbrained right now. I mean, it DID take me close to an extra day to get this page done. And it’s not even very complicated or anything, this was just one of those pages that simply didn’t wanna get drawn. That happens every so often, some kind of breaker in my brain get tripped and it’s like I just have to re-learn how to art all over again for a day or two. I had to redraw every character here, like, at least three times before the results were acceptable, and it’s not like this was one of those pages I made up from scratch. I had a complete rough draft to follow and everything, I just couldn’t draw good without ten times more effort than usual. Art-ing is weird.
Usually, the best way to break up a brain cramp like that is to do something totally different and unusual as a change of pace… and we’re in luck! Next Monday is Valentine’s Day, so there’ll be a special holiday comic instead of page 1212. And I miiiiiiiiiight be planning to do something extra weird with it, just to shake things up for myself. I dunno, we’ll see…
EDIT: DANG IT! I forgot about the Voting Incentive again! Sorry, it’s up now!
Remember, Bridget, most problems in life can be solved by punching them really hard. Come on, you know you wanna! And I know I want to see it. 😀
Good child-friendly morals in this comic!
Meh, the whole nonsensical idea that kids have to be protected from reality and wrapped up in some delusional nonsense world of candy canes and rainbows until at least their teenage years is entirely an invention of the past century, and really mostly the last half of that century, I call it the disneyfication of reality. Prior to that kids were basically taught the world the way it actually is, so they might actually be PREPARED for life instead of realizing the horrible crushing disappointment of finding out how crappy life/the world really is as they get older – if you look at the ORIGINAL versions of most of those disney fairy tails they were really really grimdark. My point being: from the titles of a lot of the future “fairy tales” on books in FOT, it appears that humanity has come back around to its original way of thinking prior to the 20th century with the grimdark reality-heavy fairy tales / kids books, etc. So yeah, Bridget probably already knows. In the Real World, if punching your problem doesn’t solve it, you may not be punching hard enough, try again!
(Plus, Tabitha doesn’t seem like the type to sugarcoat stuff anyway)
