page 966 – Coordinated Operations
You know, it’s strangely comforting that today’s page is “only” running behind due to my own incompetence. Yeah, it’s late. Yeah, I’m having to post the rough draft for now. Yeah, it’s because of really awkward perspective and action poses and other stuff I have trouble working around. Yeah, all that stuff is frustrating… but at least my computer still turns on. That really puts everything in perspective, ya know? But still, the page IS running behind schedule, and I already nodded off in the middle of working once, so I figured I’d better go ahead and get something up before another unscheduled nap snuck up on me. Assuming that DOESN’T happen, the final version of the page shouldn’t take too terribly long to get done.
Anyway, about the comic itself… Trigger and Tabitha clearly aren’t used to coordinating their efforts with other people who aren’t RIGHT THERE to talk to, are they? And speaking of whom: Tabitha was careful to put on a full array of lab coat and gloves and goggles to make sure she didn’t get any dangerous substances on her hands or eyes… then went to work with her midriff completely exposed. This is in no way silly.
Finally, NEW VOTING INCENTIVES! Hey, did you hear me say that Incentives for the next few months would be stand-alone doodles in stead of a series, since I have so many other projects to wrap up before the end of the year? Well, today we start a new ongoing Incentive series… and it’s actually BECAUSE of all the other projects. With so much stuff I HAVE TO WORK ON WHETHER I FEEL LIKE IT OR NOT, I kind of owed it to myself to have at least one thing going on purely because it sounded fun at the moment.
(Historical Notes: The comments for this page were completely taken over by the discovery that SmackJeeves had enabled emoticons in the comments. Seeing that made me curious, and I have just now discovered that there is apparently a WordPress plugin that lets you set your own custom emoticons for your site. I WILL ABUSE THE EVER-LOVING HECK OUT OF THIS FEATURE AS SOON AS I HAVE TIME TO TRY IT.)
@ Historical Notes: We’re getting emoticons! YAY! Now I just need to wait for them. And maybe experiment to see if they become potentially active retroactively…

Don’t get too impatient, ‘cos this is one of those projects that will ABSOLUTELY have to wait until after the more serious site stuff is done. Like, not even just re-posting the old comics, I’m talking about at LEAST after all the character profiles and side pages like that are rebuilt.
Also, just as fair warning, I haven’t looked closely enough to make sure the plugins out there are actually compatible with the current WordPress setup. As the whole comment editing saga proved, there’s a LOT about these things I still don’t understand.
