Okay, I’m doing the whole “half-finished page” thing again. Sorry about that, but this update’s being particularly troublesome. I’ve already had to move the panels around a LOT, and the whole attempt at a more “hand drawn” look for the third panel isn’t working out like I wanted to at all. Since I’ve already been fiddling with this stuff for way too long (yet can’t start coloring the page ’till they’re done) I figured I’d go ahead and slap some text on this draft so that SOMETHING would go up this morning. Tune in later for the finished version.

Anyway, where did I go on a rant about school in the Far Out There universe? Was it in the FAQ topic on the forum? I forget, but this is probably the first time it’s actually applied to the comic proper. Basically, education in the future is so quick and easy that classroom settings are kind of pointless, so everybody essentially is home schooled. And even if that weren’t the case, you just know Tabitha wouldn’t trust her babies to anyone other than herself, right?

And speaking of Tabitha, the new Voting Incentive series is kicking off! Sorry for the wait!

(Historical Notes: Past Me also leaves out the fact that, as Layla clearly demonstrates, kids in the Far Out There future seem to wind up adulting a lot sooner than us present-day dummies, further implying that there isn’t one standard “be in school for these years” time limit that everybody abides by… though there must be SOME lingering distinction between teen and adult, since Ichabod and Cap’n Crosby still treat her like a kid.)
