page 817 – No Check In Before 3
Yep, I got behind schedule and had to post a half-finished page AGAIN. Just go find one of my apologies from the past couple of weeks and mentally substitute it here, they’ll all apply.
Anyway, the thought occurs to me that this COULD actually be a result of the whole Mad Scientist Convention kerfuffle. If somebody heard that Tabitha might be involved with getting Evil Scientists busted, that might have motivated them to shut her up… which might in turn have motivated HER to shut THEM up, since it’s kinda hard to keep track of who knew how much about what once all that dust settled.
And if you wanna see more of Tabitha *snort* the new Voting Incentive series kicks off in earnest today!
(Historical Notes: You’ll no doubt notice that we never actually see any on-screen mention of what money is changing hand, either the denomination or the amount. Not unlike the oft-avoided subject of time, money is a lot easier to deal with if I just never mention any specific details beyond “it’s a lot”.)
Hey, another sign that Layla’s secretly not all that evil. Or more evil than she lets on. It’s a bit of a coin flip between the two for this one.
I don’t think even Layla herself knows the answer to that.
