Well this is is a milestone, I guess. After five and a half years of doing this comic, this is the first page of Far Out There to have a character just straight up be naked. And in retrospect, it’s kind of astonishing that Trigger isn’t involved in any way. Oh well. In any case, let’s all take a moment to be thankful that this comic isn’t popular enough for a moment like this to spawn mountains of rule 34.

Oh, and before anyone questions Stilez’s lack of reaction: Tax had already established that, for all her thrashing about to avoid getting wet, Stilez’s reaction to BEING wet was just to shut down completely. (There’s also the boring real world explanations: there’s no way to explain how the ship would survive if Stilez DID freak out, so the story required that she not do that. Plus, it was tricky enough to keep this page family-friendly with everyone sitting still. If any of these girls actually started moving around in this state of undress, the comic’s rating would go up fast).

Anyway, I’m putting this up a week in advance (to free up time for frantic Anime USA preparation) so I don’t actually know what the new Voting Incentive will be just yet. Guess you’ll have to just go ahead and vote to find out!

(Historical Notes: Of course, Trigger actually would turn out to be the NEXT technically-naked-in-a-comic character after this… and I think the ONLY one?  For all of Far Out There’s lapses into “LOL IRONIC FANSERVCE SATIRE” over the subsequent years, I think the closest we ever got to this happening again was some nudge nudge wink wink implications about what might have been happening off-screen while Layla was scrubbing off bodypaint.  In the realm of manga-inspired western comic, that’s some admirable restraint right there.  Also, just as a fun fact, those “bloodshot eyes” are actually a picture of a tie dye t-shirt.  Because art.)
