Man, I have GOT to quit dilly-dallying with my drawing. I didn’t even get this page SCANNED until midnight. Still, it turned out pretty awesome if I may say so. I realize it’s not very professional to keep geeking out about my own characters, but Dr. Caligari and Tabitha are SO much fun to do. Even better, I got to play around with Bridget and Alphonse some more. Are those little cyber-zombies ABSURDLY adorable or what?

Moving on, CAMEO TIME! Right in the middle of the first panel is Blazer Flarey from The Mad Scientist Wars

And riding her creation Robo Panda in the third panel is Tania!

I kind of went nuts on personal cameos, too. Believe it or not, that circle by Tabitha’s head in the first panel is actually a character: Rover from the classic TV show The Prisoner.

In the middle of the third panel is Tsurugi from the manga Digimon Next, with his partner GeoGreymon hunched over him.

Finally, behind Tabitha is Rya from the flash cartoon Bonus Stage.

(Historical Notes:  Oops, turns out I left Bridget & Alphonse green-less more than once after all.  Guess I don’t learn from my mistakes that quickly.  And speaking of things that look really weird in retrospect, a lot of newer readers will probably find Tabitha acting so grumpy and rude to be as abnormal as her being so short.  However, while there’s no getting around her unfinished design, I think Tabitha’s personality here is still MOSTLY explicable in context of her current form.  Yes, she’s much, much, MUCH more jolly and fun in newer comics than she is here… but she’s also nowhere near her Dad.  Even post-redesign, we’ve seen that Tabitha gets completely exasperated by her Father’s behavior very quickly, and that’s just when they’re at home.  When she’s having to babysit him in PUBLIC, it’s completely understandable that she’d be an all-out grump… though it still doesn’t explain the growth spurt.)
