page 1463 – It Seems Self-Explanatory To Me
So… Last Friday I said I was gonna try to go ahead and get THIS Friday’s page finished and online around the same time as Tuesday’s page, just so I’d have one less thing to do over the rest of the week. As I write this on Monday evening, that page isn’t QUITE ready to start editing just yet, but I’m definitely going to plow ahead and try to make that happen. Because, well, I kinda crashed out a bit over the weekend and just couldn’t get anything done. If you’ve been watching my other comics going out on Patreon or social media and noticed that, um, there wasn’t any of those this weekend, that’s why. I just needed a break pretty bad. I’m feeling a lot better today, obviously, but with that in mind, having one less thing to get done THIS week feels like a pretty darn good idea. Hopefully, by the time this actually goes live, the next page will be more or less done already, so cross those fingers!

I’m surprised I hadn’t noticed that Cap’n Crosby is more often a source of problems than solutions before now. But he is- he keeps antagonizing Stilez, he kicked that shapeshifting death orb, he has terrible prioritization. He’s his own worst enemy.
In fairness, they WOULD be the proper, normal priorities for a ship captain… if his ship would quit being filled with so many abnormal passengers.
Uh, the Cap’n can teleport now. That’s certainly new.
It was SUPPOSED to look like he ran in from out-of-frame, but the “running” aspect kind of got lost in the drawing process. (We really needed to see his coat epically billowing behind him to make it work)
The fact that there are lines appearing from both sides of the panel make it seem more like he just materialized. If the lines were only on the left side, it’d probably help show he came in from the side (though event hen, they don’t look like your typical speed lines).
Either way, not intended to be a significant criticism (I am not an artist), just an amusing observation.
Cap’n. I understand that you’re upset, but you just ADMITTED to making the current SECOND BIGGEST PROBLEM facing your ship worse. By yelling close to the BIGGEST problem on your ship. So, kindly, shut up, go to the ship’s control panel, and sit there for the next two days.
Note: The second biggest problem is that the boys left his ship and are approaching a legal black hole that their parents will inevitably push onto anyone remotely nearby. The biggest problem is Stillez, because she’s Stillez. Nothing surpasses how much of a problem Stillez can be.
