Far Out There

Okay, so here’s the deal: This wasn’t SUPPOSED to be page 1454.  I inked a whole separate batch of drawings last week that were meant to be the next comic, but also went ahead and sketched out THIS little doodle as well.  The idea was, JUST IN CASE, this would be a lot quicker and easier to edit that what the “real” next page would require, so  it could be the fallback option if I was still kinda burned out after all the Otakon-related stuff.  And, well, you’re looking at it right now, so I guess that was a good move on my part.  Seriously, I went and laid down for a nap Thursday afternoon, just to get a little bit of rest in before getting to work on the next comic.  Then I roll over and suddenly it’s around 2am.  Whoops.

Well, look at it this way: we can all at least take comfort in the knowledge that the art for what will NOW be page 1455 is already scanned and ready to start editing.  So HOPEFULLY we’ll be in better shape come next Tuesday.

Also, sadly, I’m taking the easy way out regarding the TWC Voting Incentives and declaring that, since the last one didn’t actually go live until Monday morning, then we’ve “already had a new Incentive this week.”  We’ll get the actual new one next week, when I’m hopefully less prone to naps that unexpectedly turn ten-hours long.
