page 1385 – Needlessly Justifying Character Design Changes
“…and because both our shirts are now entirely symmetrical, with no details that are only visible on one side, it’ll make us WAY easier to draw in times where the cartoonist is distracted with other things!”
…no, seriously. That’s it. After drawing their previous costumes a few times, I realized that was a needless complication that was going to add extra steps to the editing process, so I took advantage of the chance to change things up. Still, you gotta believe this really IS the sort of “excuse” Mariska has actually seen them do for real.
Oh, and speaking of being distracted with other things, I’m gonna dive back into getting extra end-of-the-month Patreon stuff done as soon as this page is queued up, but I’m PRETTY sure that scramble won’t get in the way of a fresh TWC Voting Incentive this Friday, so be sure to check back for that!
EDIT: New TWC Voting Incentive is up!

Wait, Lynne isn’t wearing an actual tie? It’s just a decorative sweater-shirt? Well that makes me think less of him.
It’s SUPPOSED to be a sweater with a dress shirt underneath, but he’s allowed the tie to hang out in front of the sweater instead of being tucked under it (because drawing it THAT way made it look too much like the sweater vest that Tarkus is wearing). Admittedly, though, it’s hard to tell they’re separate layers, since I drew it in such a way that you can’t see where the sweater actually ends.
Since it’s The Future, it’s one of those trendy Quantum Ties, which is simultaneously both inside and outside the sweater until it’s observed. That way you’re covered in case you forget and draw it the other way.
Schrödinger’s Necktie
For that to work, Blitz will need to put the tie over and under the sweater in the same page. Preferably with hover-text or an in-character comment about it.
