Ah yes. Walls of text, technobabble, glowy neon colors, arbitrary stalling of plot progression, this is is some VINTAGE Far Out There right here!
To be honest, this page is kinda… I guess “unfinished” is a bit strong, but there was originally going to be a few extra stages of detail on all the dramatic lighting before I decided “Ehh, it’s good enough.” That’s not just me being lazy, by the way. I’ve actually got a bunch of errands to run tomorrow, so I kinda can’t be up until 3am playing around with multiple layers of gaussian blurred transparent colors like I normally would in a case like this. Stupid gown-up responsibilities and desire to not to get in a car crash because of driving while sleep-deprived. So lame. But yeah, if you’re swinging by the page on Monday evening and wondering why there’s suddenly a new page up way earlier than usual, it’s because I wanted an early bedtime. This way, everybody wins!
Also, just a reminder: Hiro is officially the “leader” of the group… at any point where Avi thinks being in charge might potentially be dangerous.

That’s what i intended, but you never know. The control panel’s projections might normally be solid white unless you keep a fresh layer of food coloring in that dome.
Just gonna post this here, but Coke bottles are doing this gimmick where all the bottles have peoples names on them. I stumbled onto a rather fortuitous one:

OK, this is kind of spooky: Coke has a list of all the names they’re using on the Coke web site….and the name you found is not one of the names they’re using Hmmmmm…..

(Actually, glancing at the website myself, it seems that you can order customized bottles online, so I wonder if I actually COULD get some of the wonkier Far Out There names on bottles)
In an alternate 4-the wall breaking universe, someone seems to have already ordered Coke’s entire supply of custom bottles to be printed with the name “Avi”
So, since “our” boarding pod (that they stole) is not functioning to get them back to “our” ship (that they stole), presumably the next step is to break into the docking bay and declare another (soon to be stolen) ship to be his.
Obviously, the coolest ship there would be Tabitha’s, so Avi would naturally select that one. Surely nothing bad will come of this.
I was about to write an in-character reply to that, but then I realized I could actually use that in an upcoming comic, so I’ll hold off. 😀
