page 1313 – Luckiest
What, you thought we were actually gonna take the time to ADDRESS what just happened? Don’t be silly! We’ve got a fight with a food monster to resolve!
And don’t forget, we had a special extra April Fools comic that went up on Monday! You’d better make sure to go enjoy it, MANY pages of card stock gave their lives to bring that thing to fruition. Also, between that and my putting out last week’s TWC Voting Incentive early, let’s see how badly the routine of getting THIS week’s Incentive done has been disrupted.
TWC: New Voting Incentive is up, but it turns out the bug disruption to worry about this time wasn’t anything to do with remembering what day it is. Nope, I’ve just been feeling all sick and gross over the past few days, which may have slightly influenced my creative process this week.
Now the question with the title is who is the luckier one, Avi or Layla.
Avi because the dangerous distraction means that Layla is unlikely to lay into him further for his acts of stupidity.
Layla because she just struck someone rich enough their wallet, not the contents but the wallet itself, is probably worth about the same value of her entire families business.
In fairness, it’s not so much Avi’s money as Avi’s PARENTS’ money, and she HAS seen just how close attention they pay to him.
Just because they don’t pay attention to him doesn’t mean that they aren’t going to rain hellfire down on someone for touching him. It’s kind of like someone with a billion dollars starting a legal fight over $100,000. Regardless of what the truth of the matter is, or how little it affects them, the billionaire WILL keep the lawsuit going until their “lesser” has to give up from the sheer weight of legal costs.
