page 1308 – scooping implement
OOOoooh boy… So, this is the page that was SUPPOSED to come out last week, before I put it on hold in favor of something I could bash out more quickly while not feeling good. Except it’s actually kind of NOT, because I wound up scrapping half of the original art and drawing it all over again. And me being me, despite having a whole extra week to think about it, it wasn’t until LAST NIGHT that I finally thought “Actually, I don’t like that second panel I spent all this time inking and editing. Let’s do this whole thing over again.” So, yeah, I’ve been up for a while.
Any speaking of “a while,” MAN it does my head in to realize that this running gag has been brewing for five years now, despite still technically being during the same day. I mean, yeah, there’s a big ol’ hiatus in the middle of that, but still. Webcomic Time, dude.
And also, PLACE YOUR BETS NOW! Will I forget to do a fresh TWC Voting Incentive until the very last minute again this week?
EDIT: FOR ONCE I DID NOT FORGET!!!!!!!!!! New TWC incentive is up!
It may be that Avi acts like this, as mentioned in a previous vote incentive, because his sisters and other family ignore him, but it’s likely also true that they try hard to ignore him much because he acts like this. (I definitely would) It’s one of those vicious circle type things, I guess.
It probably also doesn’t help that people in their social circles/line of work probably have to get really good at just automatically tuning out people’s terrible behavior. And when you learn to ignore that, what’s Avi even got left?
Personally, I suspect that is Avi’s wholehearted attempt to act irresistible, and he doesn’t realize that there is effectively no difference between his current actions and the earlier ones he was taking.
Oh, Avi absolutely assumes he MUST be adorable, otherwise why would he adore himself so much? 🙂
Because if he doesn’t, there would be nobody he cares about adoring him, and the closest to anyone caring about him would be his friends being friends with him.
I mean, the fact that his friends are actual FRIENDS with Avi, instead of sycophants after him to use his parent’s money, is something that should actually be praised. Unless his attitude actually scared away the sycophants, but that’s unlikely. Those types of people would be happy to walk through fire to take advantage of people in far worse financial positions than Avi.
