Dang it, I was hoping I’d at LEAST be able to keep a page buffer going for a full week. Alas, no. A mere seven days in, and I’m already getting pages done past midnight. Oh well…

Anyway, look! The Super Stupendous Justice Heroes kids aren’t the ONLY characters in this series we can’t refer to by name! Actually, this is a bit of a milestone for Brown Hat and Goldilocks: after YEARS of appearing in Christmas pages for earlybird cameos, they can FINALLY boast of having a real, actual in-comic appearance under their belts! PROGRESS! Also, get a load of those tricked out computers… and do it quick, cos I can promise you the next time we see these characters, the shot will be so zoomed in on them that I don’t have to draw that stuff again.

So, obviously, there’s no way I can ramble about which wrestler somebody’s design is based on this time… though I DID kind of sort of base the idea that Layla and Tabitha have been hogging the title via nefarious means on Triple H’s lengthy run as champion (aka “the Reign of Terror”) plus a little Jinder Mahal reference since I’d already made a shout-out to the Singh Brothers anyway.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna see if I can’t get at least ONE page ahead of the deadline again…

(Historical Notes: Wow, talking about Jinder Mahal feels even more dated than all the 80s-era references across most of these comics.  Also, MAN I’m glad “Brown Hat and Goldilocks” didn’t turn out to be their regular names.)
