Here we have the very first Far Out There Christmas picture ever drawn! Now you see why I decided to leave the backgrounds entirely to Photoshop for the later pics. Those are some REALLY unfortunate houses back there.

Coloring this page was a bit of a challenge, conceptually. The classic Christmas neighborhood is covered with snow and ice, and that probably would have made my job a lot easier. However, having been born and raised in The South, I really object to the assumption that a snow-less holiday is a defective holiday. I can only remember one Christmas EVER with snow, and that was just a flurry. Thus, Frank’s neighborhood is snow free. I probably should have put lights on these houses, but that would have required a night scene, and I pretty much burned myself out on those with the previous page.

(Historical Note: At this point, I think I was operating under the assumption that we’d just never see Avatar’s hands at any time.  Like, that was going to be part of the gag.  I’m glad I got over that, because it’s REALLY weird seeing all these other outfits be just as ill-fitting as her robe for no good reason)
