Far Out There

What’s this?  A Far Out There Halloween page where everyone ISN’T dressed in fourth-wall-breaking Real World references?  Yeah, after so many years of that, it was really time to try something different.  Just click that “Halloween” tag down there if you need a refresher on how many costumes I’ve drawn over the years.  As for THIS year, the base photo of this page is actually a house here in town.  I was toying with the idea of using a picture of a house covered with actual Halloween decorations as the background, until I stumbled upon this place.  Aside from just being a strikingly shaped house in general, the owner’s decision to just use spoopy lights instead of any physical decorations means I was free to add in some of my own!  On a related note, one of these days I absolutely am going to get a real life Gright jack o’lantern made and just use a picture of THAT as the Halloween comic… but Lord knows I can’t carve a pumpkin to save my life, so it won’t ever me ME who makes it.

But yeah, Happy Halloween!  Tune back in tomorrow for your regularly scheduled page 1200, which is actually almost done!  No, seriously, as I write this, all I have left to do is add in the speech bubbles and it’s finished.  After spending all week scrambling to get Patreon stuff finished, it’s so weird to actually be AHEAD of schedule for once…
