Can… Can it be? Is this real life? Is Far Out There posting a finished, complete page well before noon on the day it’s scheduled without any drama whatsoever? IT’S AN ACTUAL MIRACLE! …it’s also a stupidly simplistic page, which explains how it got done so quickly, but still! This is a good sign! Let’s be happy about this! Heck, I even got a fresh TWC Voting Incentive up at around the usual time! Let’s all celebrate! Let’s party! …by which I mean, “why don’t I spent this extra free time today getting caught up on Conventional Wisdom and trying to get a head start on Christmas stuff.” …whee.

…okay, actually, there’s a LITTLE bit of drama that’s tied into this page getting done in a timely manner. There was ALMOST a new Character Soundtrack ready to go up on Patreon along with this update, it’s pretty close to being all typed up… buuuuuuut after the past few weeks, I’m trying to be a little less ambitious about how much I try to accomplish in a single 24 hours, so I had to put that on back burner. And hey, it clearly worked. Here we are. So all you Patrons keep an eye out for an extra treat sometime this weekend when I DO get it finished.

EDIT: …aaaaad then I somehow managed to save the little thumbnail image for this page OVER the web-sized file of the whole thing, and briefly posted THAT as the page. For about two minutes, this was a VERY artsy and minimalist comic.

(Historical Notes: Again, I really wish I’d actually established where this bed is, not to mention how big is isn’t, so that the gag of the four kids squished into a single spot would be that much funnier rather than the comedy resting entirely on Layla’s reaction.  Speaking of which, I wish Past Me had put more visual emphasis on Layla in the bottom panel, actually coloring her in and having her in the foreground, with the “squee” over the boys instead of her.  But, of course, this version was surely faster to draw, so here it is.)
