Far Out There

(Historical Notes: Oh yeah, I’m pretty glad I can’t find the original commentary for this page, because I just KNOW Past Me was complaining about what a stop-gap “page” this is.  Because it’s ABSOLUTE filler.  The next page was gonna start with an establishing shot of Alphonse sitting in the hall reading a book, so I just turned that into a page of its own and changed whatever the book was originally meant to be into something “clever” and “ironic.”  It’s already a lame idea for filler, but it’s that much more embarrassing because Past Me seems to have forgotten that you poor readers don’t already know that Alphonse is supposed to show up in the next page.  We haven’t seen him in ages, so just having him show up out of nowhere feels SUPER random.  Like, you’d be forgiven if you thought I accidentally posted the Voting Incentive in the wrong place.  Yet again, this is the kind of thing I needed to stay a few pages ahead on establish where Alphonse actually was, to say nothing of being able to actually draw a whole page on schedule instead of resorting to filler.)
