The Nitpickers Guild Christmas Party 2020 – page 9
I didn’t mean to make Layla and Marshall’s sweaters look like Freddie Kruger, it just sort of happened. Also, nobody question the existence of bulky physical media in this Futuristic SciFi comic. I’m just old.
(Historical Notes: I’m not sure why I didn’t try to slip in some references to the previous year’s Christmas tapes here. I mean, it’d have to be very VAGUE references to make any sense in this context, but still!)
@ Historical Notes: You didn’t make any references to them as they were not things that Layla would consider “Christmas Classics”. Because she was the one making the list, and only her opinion in what made a Christmas Classic a Classic mattered.
Well, yeah, but that’s why it would have been a “vague” reference, just enough that it MIGHT sound like a reference if you know what to look for.
@alttext: Because, in order to successfully complete Layla’s assigned task, Marshall, unfortunately, for various reasons, had to completely destroy the entire rest of the universe*. But the important thing is: he got the movies, that’s what matters!
(*except Avatar)
Destroying the entire universe is a Far Out There tradition
