Far Out There

Here we go, kiddies! The 2011 Far Out There Christmas Blow-out Begins! As with last year, the plan is to update every day straight through to the 25th. The final 12 days leading up to Christmas (get it?) will be snazzy full color pictures of the whole cast getting its holiday on, but first we’ve got another story! Will it become a timeless holiday classic like Bridget & Alphonse’s Horrifying Christmas? Only time will tell!

…a bit of explanation about the cover disclaimer, though: Yes, this story really ISN’T as action-packed as this drawing (and title) would suggest. No action at all, in fact. Truth be told, the finished story turned out to be a page short, and this was the only idea I had to fill it out. Oh well, at least I got to draw Stilez being all gun crazy and stuff. Oh, and I guess this is technically the debut of her new costume, if you don’t count the Voting Incentives. Yay!

(Historical Notes: This story would REALLY benefit from a second attempt at the art.  They story is nice, if intentionally cliched, but you’ll see how the visuals REALLY didn’t come together as intended on the first try.  Even this cover doesn’t really work right.  The idea was to have the Evil Sana Forces be more sketchy and lower detail than Stilez since they’re deliberately misleading… but that’s backwards.  They should be MORE detailed, since the joke is supposed to be that they’re trying to wow the unfortunate consumer into thinking the contents are more impressive than they really are!  Clearly, I’m not cut out for blatant dishonesty.)
