Getting the ship ready for action mean more science, and that means MORE COLORFUL GRADIENTS ALL OVER EVERYTHING! This was a pretty dang hard one to work out, what with the two separate colors going on and everything, but I think the end result turned out pretty well. It probably still needed a few more faint layers of red to REALLY look like multiple light sources in the same room, but it’s still better than my previous attempts to combine effects like this.

So, time for a bit of housekeeping: Next Tuesday is Halloween, so there’ll be a special holiday page that day instead of page 973. I’d like to be able to go ahead and do an extra page to go up Wednesday, but between trying to finish up those Conventional Wisdom comics AND getting enough of a headstart on November’s pages that I’ll have time to work on Christmas stuff… yeah, I just don’t have time to add an extra page to the weekly workload. Sorry! (Also, I’ve miraculously managed to plot out November’s pages well enough to actually have a decent cliffhanger moment before we cut to Christmas comics, and adding another page to the mix might through all that off)

And speaking of Halloween, here’s a new Voting Incentive… that has absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever.

(Historical Notes: I continue to love the red/blue color effects.)
