Okay, so I think I’ve got most of the Photobucket stuff that needed fixing taken care of. The links on the Fan Art page SHOULD still be okay, since they take you directly to the Photobucket page itself rather than trying to display the image on a different page (at least, it’s working for me). At this point, I think the only things left to fix are the lesser Character Profile pictures… most of which I’ve been needing to re-do anyway. If there’s anything else I’ve missed, let me know.

Speaking of which, I guess the SmackJeeves As A Host plan worked out pretty well for the Incentives, so I’ll keep doing that for the foreseeable future. And if today’s Voting Incentive is any indication, I may have latched on to a reader suggestion regarding these things…

Anyway, the thought occurred while finishing this page that there’s a LOT of extremely wealthy characters in Far Out There, right? I mean, I’m not the only one who’s noticed this, am I? Jenna & her family are rich, Astrid & Disonar are rich, Layla USED to be rich, all the various celebrities who keep poping up, there’s just an awful lot of money floating around this comic, it would seem. There’s probably a dissertation about our western obsession with celebrity and the assumption, deep down, that we’re all SUPPOSED to be rich and famous… though the real answer is probably just me being a lazy writer. I mean, when you establish right off the bat that characters are wealthy enough to do whatever they want, they can do WHATEVER THEY WANT! It’s the same reason using kids or teenagers as protagonists is so narrative convenient: if they don’t have to worry about jobs and house payments and actual real life grownup stuff, they’re free to just do whatever silly story you wanna tell!

(Historical Notes: I still really like how that diagram thing on the right turned out.)
