Far Out There

OOOOoooookay, so if you didn’t check in earlier Friday to see the effects all over EVERYTHING, here’s the deal: I’ve been using Photobucket as the host for pretty much all images other than the actual comics pages for a looooong time… until this week when they decided to stop letting free accounts link those images to other sites. So, now I finally have to actually do what I’ve been threatening to do for MONTHS now and actually move all the various buttons and banners and other stuff on these pages to new hosts. Obviously, I’ve already taken care of everything on the main page, but reloading and copy/pasting everything of all the side pages will take a little time. Sorry to anybody who really, desperately wanted to look at the character profiles this afternoon.

Speaking of moving things, though, I could really use some reader feedback regarding the Voting Incentives because I’m trying something new today. Rather than loading the new incentive to some outside host, I just went ahead and posted it in the Incentive/Patreon Gallery. The page is set to not go public for several weeks, but I THINK I can still link Top WebComics to the specific image itself. At least, that’s what I tried today. Can everybody see it? I hope so, cos if this works, it’ll make keeping the Gallery updated MUCH easier than it has been up ’til now.

(Historical Notes: As tempting as it is to once AGAIN draw comparisons between this little hosting crisis and later events, instead I’ll just draw your attention to how often Mariska’s hair changes in tiny little ways.  There’s just something about that design that makes me keep forgetting how to do it the way I like.  And, of course, thanks to all the gobs of pastel gradients all over everything, I can’t go back and fix anything now without re-doing the whole panel… which I technically could do, I’ve still got the original scans.  I just don’t wanna.)
