Far Out There

So, this was another page that got held up ‘cos I was wrestling with the writing. Not the “Let’s make sure this comic doesn’t appear to endorse molesting children” issues of the previous couple of pages, though. This was actually the return of an old nemesis. See, this page is essentially the first third of NEXT TUESDAY’S page, but after a lot of trying I just couldn’t make that much material fit properly into one chunk. So I lobbed the intro off to give the rest room to breathe… only to suddenly be faced with the OPPOSITE problem and not have ENOUGH material. That whole bit with Tabitha being the only remaining Trigger/Layla shipper in the universe was a last minute addition just to there’d be SOME kind of punchline at the end of the page. Yeah, with all the Conventional Wisdom stuff on my plate, I haven’t been able to do as many drafts of these comics lately, and it’s definitely showing today.
