page 852 – continuing the trend
Oh, so THAT’S why the Voting Incentive gallery isn’t caught up yet, Tabitha keeps stealing the pictures! (I briefly thought about drawing some new little Stilez costumes, but even if I could think of some ones we hadn’t seen already, it would have been too small to really appreciate).
Well, at this very moment, I’ve got enough additional comics INKED to last through next week. They’re not actually colored yet, but if I can get that done in the midst of all the Otakon packing and whatnot, I might finally be able to do a Conventional Wisdom update without things suffering on Far Out There’s end. Heck, I might even manage to get a few extra Voting Incentives done to cover that stretch!
And speaking of Incentives, here’s today’s!
(Historical Notes: Man, this page is another one where I had to go back multiple times as people kept pointing out typos… and had to do it ALL AGAIN because I kept not noticing them the second time around. What fun. Also, this page is a bit of a unique tease if you’re reading it before I get all the old Voting Incentive stuff set up. What do those Stilez pictures look like in full size? YOU’LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE! …unless you’re NOT reading it before, in which case you can just click over to that other page that doesn’t exist yet as I write this. Wheeee…)
Layla, your friend is a Mad Scientist who fangirls over Mad Scientist Creations. You have to understand that this is going to happen anytime she’s around a famous Mad Scientist Creation until the creation in question even implies to threaten her children. At which point she’ll be too busy wiping said Mad Scientist Creation from existence so thoroughly that memory and evidence of it’s existence is eternally lost to the universe.
You can explain it to her all you want, but Layla will never not be offended by the suggestion that she’s somehow NOT the most important person in the room (especially if it’s coming from somebody she actually cares about)
Layla’s never really going to be the most important person in the room to Tabitha. The most important people in the room, to Tabitha, will ALWAYS be her Zombie Children (or biological children, if she ever ends up giving birth to what would be younger, living, siblings to her Zombie Children). At most, Layla can be the one with Tabitha’s attention for a moment.
That’s something else to file away in Layla’s “Head Knowledge vs. Emotions” drawer… which is VERY full at the moment.
