page 834 – planning out a day
I started to write something apologizing for this page being late, but then I realized I was only talking about it being a few HOURS late in the day, when it’s actually a whole DAY late. Yeah, if you missed the note I added to the previous page: doing that big giant Conventional Wisdom update wiped me out so bad that I just had to push things back a day. And even then, I ended up being many hours late. I HAD said that Friday’s update wouldn’t be affected… but I’m going back on that. The next page for this week will go up on SATURDAY, just this once. I hate to do it, but I’m just so worn out right now that I need to give myself at least a LITTLE breathing room to get recovered from all this post-Animazement burnout. (and it’s the worst kind of burnout, too. I’m not out of ideas or anything, just lacking the energy to DO them)
Oh, and speaking of delays, I don’t have the new Voting Incentive up yet. It’s already drawn and everything, I just didn’t have time to color it in before getting to work on this page. Check back in a couple of hours and I should have everything up and running.
EDIT: Okay! New Voting Incentive is up!
(Historical Notes: The comments on this one led to the idea of a Far Out There mini-game where you load Avatar into a slingshot or catapult and fling her into things, Angry Birds-style. That should really be a thing.)
@ Historical Notes: The issue with that game is getting her to willingly get back into the sling. And the inevitable “Vacuum of Space” levels requiring the physics engines to be demolished and rebuilt just for them.
We say that, but there’s probably a dozen terrible-looking mobile games that actually have even more complicated mechanics lurking in their levels (behind several layers of in-game purchases, no doubt)
