What can I say? Trigger’s a very polite kid, even when he’s channeling Charlton Heston.
And yes, I realize that using the same “big reveal” again after just two pages is kind of a cheat. But it’s still news to Trigger dang it!
(Historical Note: Using this kind of direct parody/reference as the big page punchline rather than a background gag feels weird now, but I still think that’s a funny line.)
@alt text: what, you don’t insert your own “dun dun duuuuunn!” sound effects in conversation normally? hmmmm, I thought everyone did that. must just be me.
