page 767 – Poking the Secondary Cast
Vengeance’s entire role in this comic (with, like, one exception) is to remind you that he’s still in this comic. And, apparently, be poked.
Speaking of reminding people of things, have I reminded everyone about the Patreon stuff lately? I just posted something interesting for the Five Dollar A Month club! Hint Hint!
And on the not-costing-you-money side of things, we’re moving on to a new Voting Incentive series. Yep, we’re finally done with Layla wearing a series of fanservice-y outfits… Weeeeeell, we’re done with ONE of those things, at least.
(Historical Notes:Oh man, my love affair with gradient backgrounds for absolutely no reason REALLY begins in earnest around this point. Not that I wasn’t already doing it before, but it starts to feel especially egregious at around this point.)
Ah, this comic. A clear sign that Vengeance is no where near as intimidating in personality as his appearance, and name, suggests.
If I’m not mistaken, this is the first time an in-comic character points out his apparent lack of arms.
Way back when I first started designing these characters, Vengeance had some visible folds/seams/lines on the front of his cloak to indicate where his arms would stick out when he needed to use them… but then I realized he looked a lot more striking when the cloak was just a single uninterrupted blob of black.
