Far Out There

Well, this is embarrassing. This Saturday’s the 4th of July – Independence Day for our international readers – and of course I had to do an extra holiday page on top of the normal pages. The thing is, our local town 4th of July celebration is actually on the THIRD, since they assume the big national stuff on Saturday will be a lot more impressive and they want people to actually show up. So, with all that activity going on, I kind of forgot that Friday was only going to the the 3rd, and spent all night working on SATURDAY’S page like it’d be going up today. By the time I realized how I’d goofed, I was laughably behind on what SHOULD have been an easy page to get done ahead of schedule.

But hey, now you know to check back here tomorrow for something extra!

Anyway, stupid distractions aside, this was a fun page to draw because Layla gets angry in it. Angry Layla will never not be fun to draw.

And speaking of Layla, today’s new Voting Incentive not only features her, but it’s actually the start of a little series of incentives, and a sequel to a previous one to boot!

(Historical Notes: I only remember writing this page for the purposes of leaving Layla really annoyed and embarrassed, I’m actually really impressed to look back and realize what an effecting “okay, there’s the backstory for anybody who forgot” recap it is.)
