Okay, I gotta confess that i did NOT intent for this little tour bit to drag out as long as it is. At first, I only planned for two or three pages worth of stuff. But then I stopped and drew a map of the ship just to keep the details straight and kept coming up with goofier and goofier rooms to cram into this ship, and suddenly there’s this endless tour you’re seeing now. Give me some time, I’m sure I’ll have my writing more disciplined before TOO long.
(Historical Note: HA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Man, this old commentary is funny in ways the comic will never be. Also, have we EVER seen the shooting range again?)
Anyway, I like how Avatar’s simultaneously over-aware of how fragile normal humans are and oblivious to how fear of harm might dictate their lives (like, say, not realizing why you wouldn’t use a nursery by a shooting range).
Oh, and Cap’n Crosby must furnish The Exposition with stuff bought used from Starfleet, because that sickbay is identical to the one on Star Trek Voyager. Who knew?
