page 1460 – And Not One Second More
Well, even though this week wound up being far, FAR less distracting than last week did, it was still a bit of an awkward scramble to get today’s comic stuff done. I mean, it IS all done. The page is finished, AND I was able to get the new TWC Voting Incentive taken care of in time. But yeah, I was up at REALLy weird hours in order to get this finished, and I’m probably going to go straight to bed as soon as this is posted so that I don’t start nodding off while doing stuff this evening. Next week, I actually night try going ahead and bashing both pages one in a single, long spree on Monday, just to see if that ends up being LESS of a problematic workflow than doing it all sprinkled out across the week.
Does Ichabod think Stilez can’t hear lower case text?
I mean, it worked, so clearly he knows how idestructable space catgirls from the future work better than I do, but it’s still interesting he can have that aside and she’d not react at all.
Maybe she just hears what she wants to hear? And what she wants to hear is that her bestest best bud (next to Tax, of course) wants to have fun with her.
Speaking of Stilez… now that I’ve read the whole archive, I was a little curious how long she’s been on the ship now. I think page 752 (https://faroutthere.com/comic/page-752-well-that-makes-sense/) was when she officially boarded the ship, so we’re approaching the point in the comic where she’ll have been on ship longer than she hasn’t soon (1503, a mere 43 comics away! That might happen next year!).
That’s the magic of webcomic time for ya… and also why I’m so notoriously reluctant to actually state any definitive numbers regarding the passage of time in this comic 🙂
(But in all seriousness, it’s really only SUPPOSED to have been a matter of weeks, a couple months at the most. That probably doesn’t hold up under scrutiny, though.)

A week was going to be my guess too. Now I’m wondering what they were up to all that time we weren’t seeing them.
(And Galactic Militaries are really really wondering where Stilez has disappeared to, not having destroyed any planets for a couple months, probably in a panic over what she must be planning! As if Stilez actually ever plans anything.)
