page 1436 – Pondering Extremely Important Issues
Man, so much for this page getting done promptly because I inked everything ahead of time. Granted, it’s actually entirely withing the realm of possibility that I COULD probably get this whole thing cleaned up and edited before anybody else sees this… but I can also feel the need for sleep creeping up on me, so it’s ALSO very possible that I could have to suddenly drop everything and hit the sack before it’s done. Thus, I’m playing it safe and posting this rough draft for now, which I’ll replace with the finished version as soon as it’s done. Hopefully, that won’t be very long.
BUT IN THE MEANTIME, I finally got another new TWC Voting Incentive up! So now you can go read a SECOND scribbled comic while waiting for a slightly-less-scribbly version of this one to be done!
EDIT: Well THAT sure took longer than expected. It always catches me off guard how much longer things like, say, a large pile of clothes take to edit and color in. By the way, my intention was to fill that pile full of call-backs to previous Layla outfits. I’m not sure how much of it wound up being recognizable in the end, though.

Wait, taking advantage of the weak willed and impressionable isn’t natural to the point of being instinctive to Layla? This is shocking information!
It was her first instinct though, she just had to voluntarily suppress it.
Probably for the best, if Marshall saw her he’d probably stop breathing. (And then he’d need CPR, which would just make the problem orders of magnitude worse!)
As is so often the case in life, the question is whether or not she’d feel bad about in THIS specific instance, not whether or not she’s in any way consistent in that behavior elsewhere.
Ed8, by “instinctive” I meant “was directly acting on it without even thinking about it, potentially not even noticing that she was doing so”.
But that does appear to be precisely what’s happened here, she didn’t initially notice she was doing so, it took a moment, or several moments, before she realized.
If she’s not going to take advantage of the weak-willed and impressionable, that pretty much blocks her from interacting with 100% of teenage boys anywhere ever.
