Far Out There

Man, this was NOT a fun page to do. I’m still re-learning how to distort text with my new programs, and that learning process irreparably screwed up my first take at finishing this page. If the art looks a little sloppier than usual, it’s because I did NOT have the patience to start over at 12 AND do a good job.

Anyway, fewer cameos this time since there’s less background. Still…

The girl with the tin foil crown is Dr. Dana Amino from Mad Scientist Wars

Between Tabitha and Layla is Max the Vampire Kleptomaniac from Mildly Mundane by Confusedsoul

Left of Trigger, with the red ponytail, is Magenta the Witch Girl from Ronin356’s comic of the same name

…and finally, behind the desk (even though that’s clearly too far back for a cameo to be clear enough to be worth it) is Douglas Hu from Due East (by the artist of the same name)

And if you need to be told that that’s a Goomba from Super Mario Brother’s up in the first panel, I feel sorry for you.

Speaking of cameos, every single mad scientist mentioned in that schedule is real. Well, not “REAL” but they’re all from actual movies or TV shows or whatever. I’d list ’em all here, but this post is long enough already. Besides, this is the sort of thing Wikipedia exists for!

(Historical Note: It also exists for pointing out that I spelled “Davros” wrong. I’m shocked and appalled that Spellcheck doesn’t have Doctor Who characters programed in!  And again, all the cameos are from stuff that either doesn’t exist anymore, or just doesn’t update.  Except for the Goomba.  Goombas are eternal.)
