page 1328 – dialog is temporary, sound effects are forever
Don’t you just hate it when your food starts to do that?
Once again, I don’t really have much else to say about this one, other than I think it turned out a lot closer to what I originally had in mind than the previous few attempts at animated pages.
Other than that, I got nuthin. See you Friday for a new TWC Voting Incentive!
EDIT: It’s friday, and a new TWC Voting Incentive is now up! Past Me told the truth!
Seems like a perfectly normal thing for a bowl of ice cream to be doing.
I occasionally see ice cream with pop rocks mixed in, and I kind of imagine it doing something like this
It’s always upsetting when someone knocks vinegar into my Sherbet.
…I googled it to ensure that I spelt it correctly. Why was icecream showing up! Sherbet’s the sugar-filled powder that gives a fizzy taste! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, google “Wizz Fizz” or “Sherbet Cones”.
…I googled Sherbet Cones, just to ensure that I, at least, didn’t get the icecream there, as well. For some reason, Sherbet Cones show the correct thing (icecream cones filled with sherbet powder, and capped with marshmallow fluff & sprinkles), but sherbet itself shows icecream.
Oh, right, I didn’t explain why I was making that joke in the first place. I was intending it as a Baking Soda Volcano joke. As sherbet can include Baking Soda as one of it’s ingredients.
Sherbet is an ice cream-like food here in North America. I assume you’re British or an Aussie?
Aussie. I didn’t think that the UK has the Wizz Fizz brand, so I googled it, and saw that they have “Fizz Wiz”, a popping candy product. Definitely different from the bags of Sherbet Powder that is the central product of Wizz Fizz here, though Wizz Fizz does also make Sherbet Cones & Fizzy Lollipops.
Still don’t know how you can have Sherbet “icecream”, while “Sherbet Cones” seem to still be the same thing they are down here, though.
Sherbet cones must be a recent import, as I’d never heard of them before now, but I’d heard of Sherbet as ice cream since I was a kid.
I did try Vegemite upon your previous recommendation a while back, though, and it’s pretty good – no idea why it doesn’t seem to catch on here – I guess, as you previously suggested, folks tend to glop huge volumes of it on like it’s ketchup (or possibly catsup). Unfortunately, it costs about 6x as much here as in its native land 🙁
It’s entirely possible that Sherbert Cones are still fairly rare over there. We’re relatively big on our Bakery Sweets over here, and that’s one of the rarer options for us. As in, I only really remember seeing it in one Bakery (not that I’ve done any sort of research into the matter), so most may not even consider it to be a Bakery Sweet.
More common Bakery Sweet options are Vanilla Slice, a variety of other slices (such as Hedgehog Slice, Caramel Slice & Coconut Slice), Meringues, Cupcakes, Small Tarts & Baked Donuts. In order of what I consider the most common to least.
Biscuits, Cakes & Lamington’s don’t count as Bakery Sweets, for the purposes of this discussion, because you usually can’t buy a singular “serve” of them from a typical Australian Bakery. You usually need to buy a Pack of Biscuits or Lamington’s, and at least half of a Cake, from an Australian Bakery.
Dude, every time I check back on this page, I get REALLY hungry.
