page 1275 – that only happens in a comedy
They say a joke isn’t funny if you have to explain it, but I’m not sure what Their stance is on explaining a totally different joke than the one actually being told.
Okay, so I cranked out a loooooot of content over the previous week (see the batch of old Voting Incentives that went up on the Gallery), and I’ve still got a lot more to get done before this week is through… but hey! I was able to post this comic in a completely finished form right off the bat! That’s an improvement, right?
…yeah, I’m gonna go get some sleep before I get started on the next Conventional Wisdom page…
Wow, Ichabod’s theory is right – Stilez’s personality really is being altered – before she would have never actually consciously waited until something was already broken before smashing it into the ceiling!
Not to say that isn’t a valid observation, but one could ALSO postulate that Stilez was just waiting for whatever Tax was taking part in to finish before taking over and ding something of her own.
…though that still brings up back to Ichabod’s theories anyway, doesn’t it?
Wait, thinking about this… would Layla even use sauce on her meat when she likes it? I mean, when the meats bad, or the sauce was a part of the cooking process, sure. It covers up the flaws, or has already been incorporated into the food itself. But ruining the taste of the well cooked and quality piece of meat when it’s not necessary doesn’t fit Layla’s meat obsession.
Also, we readers know that there is one real reason you didn’t do this, and it’s that you would have had to change Layla’s haircut. There’s also two lesser reasons it didn’t happen, namely ending the meal early (though Layla is NOT walking away until the courses with major meat components are over), and Marshall annoying Layla would improve Avi’s mood and potentially allow him to get over his mild paranoia about Marshall’s lovability, especially when compared to his own.
Layla absolutely would NOT taint the experience of a good steak by burring it under other flavors, but that wouldn’t stop Marshall from giving the same cup as everyone else, just so he’d know he didn’t leave anybody out.
