page 1228 – They look fine to me
…and by “We’d better go get ready for dinner,” he of course means, “We’d better go give the artist an excuse to draw us in new outfits next time we show up, because he’s probably gotten really sick of drawing us in the same clothes for this long.”
And speaking of drawing, of COURSE I’d run out of Far Out There backlog and have to start drawing new pages again right around the time that Conventional Wisdom hit the longest and most complicated page of the whole Animazement 2022 series. It has been a long and tedious weekend, and I’m totally gonna go straight to bed as soon as this page goes online. Actually, anybody reading this Monday morning should feel lucky. I was VERY close to just posting a line art version of this page earlier, just to give me an excuse to hit the sack a few hours earlier. Part of me kinda things I should have done that anyway, since the top panel here was SUPPOSED to have an actual background instead of just a color gradient… buuuuut then I realized I was starting to make those stupid “I’ve been awake HOW long?” sort of mistakes and started taking shortcuts to wrap things up more quickly.
Anyway, yeah. New Voting Incentive coming later this week. Last couple of Conventional Wisdom pages to try and finish up between now and then. I’m-a go sleep now.
EDIT: Okay, new Voting Incentive is up and I’m just gonna warn you all right now that BLINKY ANIMATED EFFECTS HAVE RETURNED. This is not a drill.
The question is, is “SHE” Stillez, or is “SHE” Tabitha? Because the first one is who the visions were about, while the second actively created the visions.
Either way, it worked. For now, at least.
Avi would probably claim after the fact that he meant both at the same time, because he thinks it makes him sound more clever
@alt text – Apparently she’s not the only Mad Scientist who makes that mistake 🙂

I love callbacks I didn’t even realize I was making
I love that I actually remember stuff about this comic that the AUTHOR didn’t remember when he was writing the callback he didn’t know he was making! 😉
That’s got to be worth some FOT points or something!
See, stuff like this is why there really needs to be a Far Out There wiki one of these days. I have no doubt that this readership would make it one of the most exhaustive, complete, all-encompassing webcomic wikis ever created.
MediaWiki is pretty popular, and you should be able to stick it in a subfolder on this domain, or even better, a subdomain like wiki.faroutthere.com
Looking forward to it. Just make sure you look at their combating spam page.
Yeah, I just need to finish the 45,789,134 OTHER things that need to get done before I start looking into wiki stuff.
Seems like there is one already…sort of….
https://bigcartoon.org/wiki/Far_Out_There
It appears to be slightly less than fully complete, though 😉
Oh my gosh, I forgot all about that! Somebody showed me that a loooong time ago. Looks like it’s been updated since then. Um… yay?
Honestly, that’s not all that uncommon. Hell, Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, famously doesn’t remember half the details he’s put into that story, many of them seemingly major story beats.
Of course, in the case of Dragon Ball, it was more a personal project that blew out in popularity beyond what the author was expecting, as he had already made his fortune from making Dr Slump previously. So it makes sense that he didn’t care about remembering all the details. But still.
I remember when Homestar Runner was still going strong, the Brothers Chaps said they didn’t have any kind of index or database to keep stuff straight because they knew they could always just look stuff up on hrwiki if they had any questions.
