(Historical Notes: Lots of fun expressions on display all across this page. Also, I have no idea why, but my master copy of this page doesn’t have Aunt Domino’s one line in it, just a blank word balloon. I had to copy/paste the text off of the SmackJeeves version, so sorry if it’s a bit harder to read than the rest of the page. Also also, wow. I can’t believe I made it all the way through this stretch of pages without once mentioning that all the backgrounds of Nitpicker Headquarters, or at least Sophia’s corner of it, are cobbled together from pictures of Biltmore Estate. I feel like I mentioned that MORE than once in the original posts.)
Pages like this also help solidify… Wilkins? Really, that’s his name (according to the tags). I would have assumed that you might have given him a unique (to us) name simply to amplify the distance one’s name is from who they are.
Anyway, pages like this one help solidify Wilkins to seem more like a child to people like me. I have been informed, and am thus aware, that he’s Claire’s Husband, but this page really makes it seem more like he’s her son, though much of that is the height difference and the teary eyes.
Yeah, when I finally had to sit down and come up with a name, there was a montage of Jim Henson’s Wilkins Coffee commercials playing, so there ya go.
Also, I was trying to make a deliberate contrast between Claire’s gruff and tough persona with somebody little and squishy, but I guess I did overdo it a bit. I’ll try to come up with something to balance it out next time we see them.
