Far Out There

(Historical Notes: This is still one of my favorite animated pages out of the bunch, a perfect example of the right way to use the effect, ESPECIALLY compared to some of the not so good experiments you’re about to see in a few pages.  It’s especially surprising that it came out well considering that it was actually uses a photographic element.  I was actually able to just use the original GIF frames to create the new PNG without sacrificing any color at all.  But hey, of COURSE a page involving both something burning and Megaweapon would see the two bringing out the best in each other.)
