Far Out There

…well, it wouldn’t be the weirdest thing that’s happened in this arc. It wouldn’t even be the weirdest thing Astrid’s done.

But, uh, yeah. I, um, totally made you think this was gonna be a giant mecha story for a minute there! April… Fools, I guess? Yeah… This isn’t news to anyone who’s been reading for a while, but I don’t like April Fools’s jokes that that seriously try to trick people. Blatantly obvious silliness? That’s a little more tolerable. Anywah, tune in Friday to get back to business as usual. (And if you haven’t seen it already, here’s the REAL page that went up yesterday)

Oh, and before anyone has a chance to bring it up: Astrid’s outfit is basically a modified version of the suit from G Gundam, while “Glambot” here is pretty much Mazinger Z in drag.

(Historical Notes: At least one person apparently really thought this was a legit plot development.  And yeah, by Far Out There standards, it really ISN’T that implausible.  This is why I’ve tended to make the April Fools’ jokes more obviously meta and medium-defying instead of just a fake plot twist.)
