page 1398 – A Lot Has Happened Recently
The funniest part of this page, to me at least, is this all SOUNDS like the kind of “random nonsense someone will mention but we’ll never actually see” jokes that I tend to write… except we’ve literally already seen all of this actually happen. The LEAST fun part was me deciding WAY too late in the editing process to change the scale of a few things, resulting in WAY too much time moving separate layers around and trying to get them to line up the way they previously did. Actually, as long as I’ve doing some Artist Venting, I’m also gonna slightly complain about the top two panels. Really, this page shouldn’t be presented as four equally-sized panels. The top two ought to be a lot smaller, in order to put greater emphasis on the bottom two. Alas, the height differences between the characters pretty much demanded a tall, narrow panel shape in order to fit everybody in, and that kind of dictated the form of the final draft more than the narrative flow. There was PROBABLY another way to fix all this… but, I dunno if you noticed, but I’m only giving myself around half as much time to work on these pages as I had been taking for a while. Still got a LONG way to go before I’m used to this work flow again.
BUT ON THE OTHER HAND: I did manage to crank out a fresh TWC Voting Incentive on top of everything! So there’s that!
