And now come my usual lament that I haven’t found more chances to use Dr. Jarre in anything, despite me repeatedly claiming to like the character so much. Because Christmas is a time for traditions. And also another Patreon blog! That too!
So, I’m queuing this page up mere minutes after finishing work on the final Christmas page, which I’m pretty sure is the farthest out I’ve gotten everything done in a WHILE… except not really, because I spent so much time getting the art finished that I pretty much need to go to bed the second I finish writing this. So I’ve got at least one more day of getting nearly a dozen pages queued up, and THEN I’ll be able to coast across the finish line. Still pretty good by my usual standards!
Well, if that isn’t a good reason to burn a Xmas Stocking, I don’t know what is.
And the thing is, Avatar clearly HAS one of her own already, she’s carrying it around right there! I dunno who Delia thought she was fooling with this.
Fooling? Delia is setting herself up as an additional gift. Who would reject more gifts? Someone who knows how much trouble the supposed “gift” actually is.
Well, as far as who would reject more gifts, actually there are a lot of people in general who don’t like receiving gifts – I am one myself – Avatr seem like she might be that type, distrustful of folks in general due o her history, and having no memories of childhood gift receiving to have ever become accustomed to it. Not saying she is, es that has not been established, just possible.
As far as Delia fooling – she did – like many a stalker she has fooled herself into believing that the object of her obsession actually wants them around. And yes, hiding in a giant stocking has definitely crossed the line between avid fangirl and creepy stalker. Fortunately Christmas is noncanonical.
Ah, but that one doesn’t have her name on it – it could be anybody’s! 😉
