Far Out There

(Historical Notes: Oh man, this one was frustrating.  This was another page where Past Me managed to accidentally save over the master copy with something else.  I still had the original scans, but none of the finished edits OR the dialog.  To make matters worse, as you can tell by there only being a historical note here, the Wayback Machine doesn’t have a copy of the old SmackJeeves version of this page.  There’s still the post-2019 version… but not only did I have to go through a whole extra layer of browser trickery to even download the comic in the first place, but all that work could still only yield the “Hey, let’s compress all the image files for some reason!” version.  Thus, the only copy of this page I now have is that much lower quality than I’d like.  Admittedly, you PROBABLY wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t said anything, the compression artifacts aren’t nearly as bad on a mostly grayscale page, but I’D still know, dang it!  Anyway, yeah, I quickly realized that Layla’s new jacket, with all those buttons and everything, was too complicated to draw page after page, so Tabitha had to instigate a second round of dress up.  Which we will get into shortly…)
