page 963 – Healthy Lighting
Okay, time to talk about everything BUT the specific comic page these comments go under.
First off: I FINALLY FINISHED THE OTAKON COMICS! It still only happened mere days before the NEXT convention, but since the time between cons was a lot shorter this time, that still means I’m getting faster!
But yeah, speaking of that, I’ll be gone all weekend for Anime Weekend Atlanta, which means I’m gonna have to dive RIGHT into finishing Friday’s page the second I finish writing this. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get any of NEXT week’s pages done in advance, which means we’ll probably have another week of these one panel comics while I recover. We ARE almost through with this stalling, though. I really wanna drop at least the beginning of the next big arc before the story goes on Christmas break, after all.
And speaking of things ending, there won’t be a new Voting Incentive this Friday, but that’s kind of okay because today’s Incentive wraps up Jenna’s little series anyway. What character could possibly be left for her to dress up as? Let’s find out!
(Historical Notes: It didn’t occur to me until after the comics were done, but this page would have worked a lot better if we’d actually seen the thing Tabitha was working on with Bridget, and it was glowing blue as a contrast to the green on Trigger’s page, and then THIS page had a blue/green mix to it. Like whatever they were doing had accidentally reacted with each other or something.)
@ Historical Notes: So, basically, what you’re saying that you want to rearrange and recolour (which I suspect would be relatively simple due to them being fairly simply coloured) for what is currently pages 962, 963 and 965, so that current page 963 makes a better gag. Got ya.
Well, no. It’d have to be 961 and 962, with this page as the punchline. 965 is its own joke.
Also, 961 would probably need to go beyond simple re-coloring and instead require some actual new artwork, which is against the rules.
It’s a good thing there are rules about this sort of thing. Otherwise it would just be CHAOS! And we can’t have that sort of thing going on now.
