Far Out There

Hey look!  It’s Frank!  And the other slightly less important people in the universe!  AND NOW THERE’S EVEN MORE OF THEM!

The Hoch’ren Honnee characters are yet another bunch that I’d REALLY hoped to work into this year’s comics someplace, but just couldn’t find a place to do it. I mean, Disonar doesn’t seem very likely to invite representatives of a cult to one of his parties (while admittedly, Frank seems like the type who’d try to crash the party, I doubt he’d have Layla’s success at getting in) Still, I’m even more anxious to do something with them now that there’s even more faces to play with. I’m especially intrigued by the girl on the far left. It’s not that obvious in the finished page, but she’s got this weird , hunched-over posture that’s a sharp contrast to all the other people standing at attention. What the heck could HER deal be? Hmm? HMMMM?

(Oh, and tempting though it may be, don’t assume that the new character’s standing order equals “most important person” ranking. I don’t have any obvious reason why that WOULDN’T be the case, but you know me: Unless I’ve got a clear, story-mandated reason to get specific about something, I’m leaving it ambiguous)

(Historical Notes: Sadly, hunched-over girl has yet to appear again.  I mean, I can barely find ways to work in Jamilla, and people actually LIKE her.)
