Far Out There

Having Jenna doing interviews with people worked out so well last year that I decided to have her do it again this year!

And speaking of previous years, you may remember Philip Freeman as one of the Christmas experts Stilez kidnapped. Back in the day, I said I was going to be incorporating those characters into the main Far Out There universe… and I still WANT to. I mean, it’s not hard to think of a non-holiday role for this guy to have. Gardening show host, professional landscaper, plant-themed mad scientist, there are lots of options, just not a lot of chances to USE any of them. The past few plot arcs in this comic have taken place on a ship suffering a blackout and a rock show on a space shantytown. A guy who does trees is kind of hard to mention in those contexts.

(Historical Notes: It took YEARS to finally figure it out, but I eventually did start to work some random references to Dr. Freeman outside of Christmas comics. EVENTUALLY.)
