(Hey, you guys remembered to come buy on Sunday for an extra dose of adorable, didn’t you?)

Disonar’s hair is so bright, even HE has to wear shades to avoid being blinded! I turned down the color in his flashback appearances, but but wanted to make sure he made a nice dazzling first impression here.

Speaking of first impressions, Layla just naturally assumes that even the briefest encounter with her stays with people for the rest of their lives (which, in all honesty, probably happens enough to not be TOO unreasonable)

And because we don’t have enough links in these comments already: New Voting Incentive, which I personally like quite a bit!

(Historical Notes:  Oh Disnoar… I’ve got a looooooot to say about this guy, or more specifically his depiction in these early pages… but I think I’m gonna hold on that back on that until we’ve seen a bit more of the guy in action.  I WILL say that this is a weirder example of why I try to keep the character’s ages ambiguous.  Aside from basic continuity issues, it makes it a bit easier to swallow the numerous indications that The Future gives people adult-level responsibilities a lot earlier if we don’t have to explicitly address how old any of are at a given time, or have wiggle room to change our assumptions to better fit the material on a given page.  Like, say, if somebody say something to Layla that’s SIGNIFICANTLY creepier if she’s definitively a minor than it would be otherwise.  Now, some people might say that a much better way of dealing with a problem like that would be to just not give a clearly older character that kind of dialog in the first place… and they’d be right.  I would VERY MUCH not write this page this way if I were doing it now, but more on that in a bit…)
